Magnesium Hydroxide (MDH) is a flame retardant and smoke suppressant utilized in applications where higher processing temperatures are necessary compared to ATH while functioning in the exact same manner as ATH. MDH undergoes endothermic decomposition when water is released at 330° C, some  110°C > than ATH which allows it to be used in much higher temperature applications.
